Remember the good ol' days...
When you had to walk 40 miles to school... uphill all the way... in 20 feet of
snow... and it was still snowing... plus you couldn't afford shoes so you wore
paper bags on your feet... and the computer game was called Pong???
Brings back such a nostalgic feeling inside. Get those fingers ready for some
quick flying, ball bouncin' action!!! Tired of the same ol' 3D shoot -em up
blood fest. Games with no character. No plot. Now it is time for some real
heart-pounding, agility testing, addictive game play. You want plot? Uhhh...
Well, it's got playability. Even a 5 year old can play Y.A.B.O.G. Do you have
what it takes to beat all 20 levels??? I wrote it, and I don't. Play until your
hand is so limp you can barely move the mouse. Just make sure that your mouse is
clean and ready to go, because I know you'll hate it when you are on level 19
and the paddle just stops moving the direction you want it to go, and it is all
because you aren't playing with a clean mouse...
What is YABOG??? YABOG stands for Yet
Another Break Out Game. If you can't guess from that, YABOG is modeled after
that first generation computer game, Break-Out. Break out is a simple but very
addictive concept. The object of the game is to bounce a ball off of your paddle
and hit blocks to Break Out of the level. Sound Boring? Add a bunch of
special blocks and you got yourself a cool game... YABOG features multiple
person play, but not at the same time. It has a bunch of cool blocks to add
spice to the game. But even better... It comes with a complete level Editor!!!!
If the cool game play is not enough to get you
excited, perhaps the LevelSet Editor is!!! YEdit is the full LevelSet Editor for
YABOG. It allows you to create your own Levels. It is the full featured editor
that I used to design the main LevelSet for the game, lacking nothing... Send
the LevelSets to me at: (email no
longer available) and I will post them
on the levels page.
Wow and exitement and stuff. - Ken Miller
I really appreciate all the obvious work you have put into Yabog. It is
the best breakout type game I have ever seen. Beats the heck out of Pong,
Breakout, etc. Your expertise in programming is very apparent. - Jack
Walters
I think you did yourself a bit of a dis-service, though, in calling it
merely "Yet Another ..." I think it is the best Break-Out type of game I've so
far come across - FAR better than the standard "freeware" average (better even,
than the vast majority of shareware and retail games!) - Alan G. Alsop
